Newbie travel trailer buyer question - to slide out or not

We have had both. I was not looking for a slide model when I found our current camper, which has a small slide for the dinette. I like the slide, but it was not a requirement. We would have bought the same camper without the slide. There are just the two of us and we spend the vast majority of our time outside, so the difference in interior space is not as important as, say, storage.
Only you can determine whether having a slide is important or not.
