OP- since you are narrowing it down to some models and floorplans, I'd suggest finding one of each close by. Go see it in person, walk through it- with and without the slide open.
You know that campers ALWAYS look bigger in pics, right?
For our purposes, we'd never buy a camper without a slide. HUGE difference in space. We now have 2 slides.
Another thing that was important to us was a separate master bedroom. Our hybrid has a mini slide and the bedrooms are at opposite ends.
We wanted the kids' bedroom near the bathroom. We don't want kids or anyone else coming towards our bedroom at night for the bathroom. I'm a light sleeper with a fairly sensitive "proximity detector" LOL.
So go see your campers, sit down, picture making lunch, hanging with your family, doing something for an entire day when it rains, etc.
Some folks are content without slides. For us, it is slides, please ;)
PS- We have nice chair shaped beanbags we put on the open floors when we want to relax or the kids are playing or whatever. Nice alternative to always sitting in a row on a couch or at a table or beds.
