Newbie

Hi All,
First time RV owner
2010 Adventurer 80GS (used)
I have a few questions about the operation of the camper, especially the toilet and holding tanks. I have no idea how to operate the toilet. There is a grey handle at the right back side which flushes the bowl. But the water remains in the bowl and I dont know how to open the metal plate at the bottom of the bowl to let the contents drain into the tank. I don't see any other handle anywhere on the toilet.

Also, how to use the sewer dumping system? I would have posted a pic but don't know how to in this forum. There is a big black hose outlet and two big black valves on either side. In addition, there are two small white valves on the left side and 1 small white valve on the right side. What are the functions of all these valves. Any help is immensely appreciated as I am exhausted trying to find demo vidoes on youtube.

    The handle can let water in alone, then pull or push it some more in the same direction to open valve. IF your black and grey tanks are empty just pull the blacks open, you might have residual liquid so be careful, put a 5 gal. bucket under it. White valves are probably low drain points for fresh water tank and or hot water tank. There all different but the same, experiment. Have you tried contacting a Adventure dealer, or manufacturer.

    Alright. Firgured out the toilet flush. The handle has two stages - first stage is flush and second stage is just pushing the handle further in the same direction and it empties the bowl.

    The grey tank area stinks. How do I know that the stink is acceptable or not acceptable. Haha! I mean how do I know that the grey tank or plumbing is not leaking?

    Many times the gray tank smells nastier than the black due to grease, soap scum, food/drink, etc. Clean it by filling it up with water and Dawn dish soap and drive around so it can slosh and clean the sidewalls, then drain and rinse again.
