Seems that most of the new diesels have had teething problems. Ford and GM CP4 lift pump failures. I understand the new trucks are now using an updated version. But for others according to one poster their on national back order. Ram? Early 07s did have some issues, but after a couple of software flashes have been bullet proof. Witness the numerous hot shotters using newest Rams many of them well over 200K miles and still running strong. The newest ones using DEF have had a few issues with the DEF systems. Mainly sensor failures. But that complaint has died down too. I would not hesitate to jump into a new Diesel. They are just soo nice and quiet. Once you do that 7.3 will feel like under powered junk.
