First generation are mostly a problem due to bad sensors and poor software that says when to Regen. Second generation trucks aren't as bad, but also use DEF fluid. I feel like they are years away from having the real solution. I'm old enough to remember catalytic converters failing dramatically. They still fail but not like before. Like that it's a result of an EPA regulation that was way ahead of a solution.
When they fail you have at least reduced power, not a good problem with a load going up mtns.
