Actually you are incorrect. The RAWR for a3.5L ecoboost, 4x4, Supercrew, with the 157" WB, and the heavy-duty payload package is 4800 lbs. A full 1000 lbs more then you are quoting. Link
I also posted RAWR numbers for the 2.7 F150 truck the OP is talking about.
However the F150 HD package with the 4800 RAWR is another example of the 3300 lb GVWR payload overloading the trucks rear axle/wheels/spring pack.
This truck is a bit heavier than the OPs 2.7 F150 in question. The F150 HD rear axle can weigh in the 2300-2400 lb range. Now add the big 3200 GVWR payload in the bed = 5500 lbs on the rear axle. Now the truck is overloaded.
I will add its not just the F150 but some (not all) of the 3/4 and one ton SRW trucks have the same overload issues when all the GVWR payload is placed in the trucks bed.
Thks is where older trucks differ from newer pickups, my 2001 2500 GVWR is 8,800# my ads photo 're rated at 5,200# front and 6,084# rear a total of 11,284#. The newer 3500 SRW GVWR run close to the total of that axle rating.
