I'm still excited for the current gen Ram!
I do believe that the transmission is the current "weak link" on the HD Ram, keeping them from increasing power output by too much. Honestly though, with the amount of weight that these trucks can move, I don't really see too many more gains to be had in towing ability. I mean, you can haul over 16 TONS with a freaking pickup truck. That is insane to me!
When you get into payload ratings, we have to be getting close to the maximum weight per inch of tread here. The fact that Ford can get over 7,000 lbs of rear axle rating on a dually is pretty awesome!
I guess I'm looking for better reliability, more gears and better fuel economy. That's just me though.

What are you talking about??? I towed 28-29K combined with my 11 HO Dually with NO issues with over 1/2 of that towing. Pic is at 65K with at least 50K on the fluid.
I tow 33K combined with my 15 RAM Dually with the Aisin trans. True Medium Duty used in many other applications.

Are you talking carrying capacity? Or RAWR? I would assume Carrying. I would also assume F450?
