Next suspension mod

Ok, I need more help in the rear of my truck.

So far, have lower stableloads and now 19.5's with 285 Michlins.

Having never been a fan of airbags, searching for an upper solutions to get my truck level again.

Timbrens?
Supersprings?
Sumo springs?
Airbags?

I don't like to mess around and do things twice. Besides brake upgrade, I am hoping this will be it for my truck and be happy. Thanks all!

You might want to talk to a spring shop and check out what would be the cost to get more leafs added to your main pack and or upper overloads if you want to stay away for airbags yet have a supple ride

Will do, had one recommended to me recently.

  • My thoughts and experience with airbags is I don't want to rely on them for suspension and get that floating feeling. But maybe my inexperience and misuse has led me down the wrong road as well.

I don't have factory upper overloads so the upper stables are not in the cards...unless I add in the overload springs. In that case it seems super springs do the same for more than likely, less money.

So I'm hearing bags so far.

I have too much sag. Once I hook up my trailer.

My truck sits about 2-3" too low. Now I have not loaded up since the tires, sway was ok but it did still sway a bit. I think the new tires will take care of most of that problem so I'm trying to accomplish keeping my truck level and springs from going negative on me. I carry a lot of weight.

no more than me, with my dually I scale at 13,500 with just the truck and TC I was close to 13 with my srw and 19.5s and I pull a three horse slant load

On the 2003 F350 SRW with 245/70R19.5s I had upper stable loads, Airbags, front and rear Roadmaster Anti Sway bars

2011 F350 Dually Upper and lower Stable loads factory antisway bars 265/75R17s

I do like airbags because I vary how many horses I carry (1000-1200 pounds per horse) and the bags can quickly adjust for the weight difference. The Dually works well as it is with one horse on board but needs more than the 3 wedges of the lower stable loads when I carry two big horses two sets of tack and 3-4 bales of hay so its going to get the addition of aribags for use when I neeed it.

  • All I can say is I use Supersprings and I carry one of the heaviest campers made. Yet my truck rides high in rear with no sag, no sway, and solid as a rock. The unloaded ride is like any typical truck.
  • what is it you are trying to achieve? Fix rear sag: by how much? does it only sag when the trailer is hooked up? need something more specific to work with.
