Its sad to see so many believe weight is everything. As if one could tow 9000lbs of flatbed trailer and 4,000lbs of TT and believe one is more safe and easier to tow. Hint...the 9100lb flat bed will win every time.
In this case, length and set up is by far more critical than overall weight. While weight ratings need to be watched, its not a primary factor here. Towing a 20' vs a 30' with this SUV is a night and day difference on the interstate. 27-30' could become a handful with crosswinds, and 6k or 8klbs isn't going to make matters better.
Weight is NOT everything.
Finally! So many people here live and die by weights. I'd listen to the guy who actually towed with his Armada and maybe ask him more about his experience.
The best advice is to be reasonable in your expectations. Don't think your 9100 lbs tow rating is a starting point. Your Armada has a relatively short wheelbase, keep the trailer length under 30ft. Get a good WD hitch. Don't pack your Armada to the gills when towing.
You're not going to break an axle and catch fire if you exceed a weight limit by 100 lbs. Your towing experience isn't going to magically be blissful if you're 100 lbs under weight either.
