I cant speak for today's Dodges because I have not ridden in let alone driven one. However- there is no question the early generation of Dodge trucks with the 5.9 Cummins were only purchased for one reason- the motor.
In a few years it is conceivable that a powerful argument could be made that Cummins (one component) saved Dodge and Nissan trucks. Then again- Why anyone would buy a Dodge or a Nissan (without a Cummins) will always be a mystery to me.
I have driven or owned Dodge cars and trucks for over 50 years and non have ever left me on the side of the road from coast to coast nor repaired away from home. I have traveled a lot since '65 and still do. JMHO.
