NJ to Va Beach-Help

Heading to Virginia Beach KOA and the directions have us going through Delaware and into the Luis Pellman Bridge/Tunnel. Has anyone ever done this before? The other option is an hour longer and has us heading down 95 south towards Richmond then cutting over. Our tt is 31' -thanks.
  • We use that route everytime we travel south from Cape May County, NJ - ferry, rt 13, bridge tunnel - nice ride, way better than I95!

A couple to times we have not be permitted to cross because there was a northeaster blowing harder than 35 knots, but both those were in the winter when those kinds of storms usually happen ....
  • That is the Chesapeake Bay BRIDGE TUNNEL, not the Bay Bridge which is Annapolis. We travel it frequently in a motorhome towing a jeep. They ask you to shut off propane. EZ Pass is accepted and it is a nice drive as long as it is not windy. There is a rest area on the north side and it is a seventeen mile drive with two tunnels.
  • Got the name wrong- Lucius Kellam Bridge, which I believe is the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Again, if anyone has had experience driving through it with a tt I'd appreciate some feedback.
