I guess if you need a new truck you either wait until Ford is back in production or, buy another brand.
I would not pay a premium for a Ford just because there is a temporary plant closure.
It depends on your band loyalty.

blip in the radar in the grand scheme of things - there's plenty of stock out there that dealers want sold - I only feel bad for the folks that have ordered a specific combination of truck that may be stuck waiting longer than expected for it.

If I remember correctly the early VW beetle had a magnesium alloy transmission case. With enough heat and flame they do burn. We set one on fire while trying to cut it to make a gear alignment jig (cheaper than getting one from VW).
