I purchased a push in green cap that has an o-ring to help keep stuff out but does nothing for security.
If this issue bothers you Genos garage sells products that will address your security concerns.
You can go to Lowes and purchase a rubber cap that will set over the opening perfectly for about $2.00....Got mine about 2years ago....still have it...nothing fancy, but it works and that's all that matters.
