No grey tank?

Maybe on that rig the grey water just ran to the ground they use to do that. Best to post a picture so people can see what you are talking about.

Sounds like you got a park model that was designed to stay hooked to a sewer line in a fixed setting. Designed to travel for transport to a site only.

It should be plumbed into a grey water tank for sure. Someone did a slop job repair. Pipe hangin low is not factory work. Sorry. This is where having a used RV checked over prior to purchase would have saved you on this.

Thats how it used to be done. Get yourself a blue tote tank to handle gray water. My 73 Terry was the same way. Can no longer dump on the ground so you do need a solution.

I have had a couple old trailers and that is how it was done. You use to connect a length of hose to it somewhere and run it out on the ground. Now as far as being legal or not that will depend on the state you live in. I live in Idaho and last time I checked you could run grey water onto the ground. You will have to look it up and also in most campgrounds they dont like it to be done.

Yea, he gave me a blue tote tank with the trailer. I thought that was for the sewage or something, and that I had a separate grey tank. Does grey and black water both go into the tote tank?

EDIT: I guess I'm not sure where the grey ONLY hookup is.....

It was in the early 70s that gray tanks became mandatory, so yours should have been equipped with one. That's assuming that the rig was originally designed and sold as a travel trailer and not for some other purpose.

Our 1967 Airstream does not have a gray tank, so it's necessary to bring the blue tank (a portable gray tank in our case) or to have full hookups or to use a plastic tub in the sink and dump that into the toilet. (The rig is designed so that we can divert gray into the black with valves, but it's kind of messy, so we don't use that method.)

Would I see a tank mounted next to my black tank? Is it possible the grey tank is combined with the black tank (i.e. stacked, but compartmentalized)?

johnny run water down your sink and see where it goes that will clear up what is happening
