Ok... We encountered a bigger problem than the electrical. Seems the bearings are shot on the driver's side wheel.
As for the lights. When you tap or hit the area near the converter the lights come on and in a few minutes cut off.
We opened up the panel and found where mice chewed on wires. Looks like it will be going to a shop for repairs.
