noisy generators

If I had to buy a RV generator on a budget, was not moving the generator that often, and needed to fire up an A/C, I'd probably consider a Champion 3100 watt inverter generator as another alternative. It does not have an electric starter (so no remote), but it is in the same ball game as a red/blue 3000 watt model for 40% the price.
Red, blue, yellow or green (Onan). I'd avoid any no-name brand unless there is no other way around it, just because of voltage regulation issues I have read about on generic Chinese stuff, and the fact that parts are impossible to come by.
