There are many times sitting around the fire or any time at all that I just want the taste of a good beer without taking on any alcohol. I've tried Budweiser Prohibition Brew (reminds me of Red Bull, not beer) & I've tried Beck's (reminds me of a German beer which I'm not fussy on). I wouldn't classify either of them as having a real beer taste. I'm in Canada so I'm sure my selection is going to be different than that of my southern friends but if any of you have tried a non-alcoholic beer that actually tastes like beer I'd love to hear about it. I'm thinking something along the lines of Coors or Bud. I know Coors has one but not sure if it's available in Canada or if it's any good. Thanks.

Sorry but I don't drink beer cause I like the taste, not sure why anybody would drink beer for only the taste. Just my opinion...

Double blind test done back in 2014......6 Non-alcohol beers and 1 beer (not one I would drink)5/6.......NO they did not taste like real beer6th......sorta/kinda/maybe (O'DOULS Premium)The 1 beer.......no also and placed mid field with the non.beersLINKI do like my beer for the taste.......and would drink a NA Beer IF it actually tasted like BEER.Could do W/O the alcohol if they could get the taste right.But then again......alcohol is part of that taste.

You live in CA. Your beer tastes different than our beer to begin with. More Alcohol in it. If you take out the alcohol, its really going to taste watery to you.

I have tried a few USA non alcohol beers, wife was prego, never found one that had any flavor. I have Bud, along with CA beers in Ontario every year. CA beer has much stronger flavor than USA beers. Maybe you will find a CA NA beer thats acceptable, but I doubt you will find a USA beer that will be anywhere close to your beers.

BTW as a Wisconsinite, I love Canadian beer.

O'Douls Amber lager is by far the BEST non alcoholic beer! In a green bottle or can. Don't get the regular O'douls-- get the AMBER!

took a fishing trip to Norway Lake,MN, years back. found out that at that time there were three? dry counties in MN and that was in one of them. the near beer was not too bad but maybe we were just desperate. :(

I LOVE beer and the taste of most.

Non-alcoholic beer is like diet coke vs. real coke.

There is a definite difference.

Anyways....most American beer seems to be non-alcoholic to me anyways.

Says the Canadian:)

On a light day I'll drink Cracked Canoe by Moosehead...3.8%

All other opportunities I like Stella at 5.2%

I have found that I prefer Old Milwaukee non alcohol beer to others I have tried. Although, I dont care for their regular beer.....

I am with the OP. I like beer, and I like a light buzz. But, it would be great to have something to drink in-between beers so that during a long night I don't get to drunk. Pop has to much sugar. I'm not a coffee drinker and on a hot day who wants it anyway. Sure, I mix in a few bottles of water but, it would be nice to have something with some flavor. (The flavored water I've tried seems to suck too. But, I have not tried them all I guess) A decent near beer would be great but, the ones they have around my area all are terrible. I’ve tried a few over the years and really thought they all were lacking a good beer taste. But then, my favorite is Guinness Extra Stout.

Interesting you would pose this question on an American based forum where all your responses so far have been from Americans suggesting products unavailable here in Ontario anyway. :R Since grocery stores here in the province can sell 0.5% alcohol content beers why not just try a few and see if any suit your taste buds? :h
