There is good chance of damaging the underside of the TC overhang when leaving any type of driveway cutout or crossing a runoff culvert across a secondary road. Any tongue jack has to be mounted farther back to avoid TC contact in dips or turns.
A longer tongue will reduce tongue weight, so maybe a trailer tongue and receiver extension working together might be an option.
