Northern Lite truck camper or Cirrus 920

Planning on pulling the trigger on a new 2018 Northern
Lite truck camper 9-6 or Cirrus 920 and want to know if anyone out there has any problems with them. The camper place says you have to have fast guns and an under camper bed mat for the warranty to be valid but that's not a problem. Just would like to hear from anyone that has concerns with these 2 campers. My present camper in my signature got flipped in a windstorm in my driveway got wrote off.

  • Bigfoot isn’t either, TxGearhead, what is your point?
  • Have you read the review of the Bigfoot on truckcampermagazine.com?
  • I don’t necessarily agree. New guys, trying to enter the market, may try harder in this internet and forum world. Things can go south quickly these days
  • I have an 820. So not what you're looki g at. It does have same systems. Wife and i like fold out sink. The alde heater is very nice, quiet and heat seems to come from everywhere. Im gonna put some 2inch vents to let heat out of where heater is and water pump area. No reason to let it stay trapped in there. I also open door where reservoir is and crack under sink doors. As well as leave b-room door open so heat has chance to circulate. Opposite side of alde is 1 gallon hot water capacity. I make bucket of warm water and just use shower to wash off. Like windows and skylight. Fit anf finish is good imo.
I live in it 4 nights/wk as i live in a different city than i work in.
  • You can search here including archives, but the issue with the Cirrus is that they are relatively new started 2015 which doesn't give them much time to have a track record. Given those choices, I would buy the Northern Lite. When there have been problems, they've also stood behind them.

    Have fun making your choice!
