northstar 8.5 arrow fit?

Question

Hello, never had a truck camper. Looking at Northstar 8.5 Arrow, says will fit long bed or short bed. I have a Ford F 250 8' long bed reg. cab. I measured and there will be about a foot of space between cab and camper, is this ok? any advice appreciated, just don't want to make a mistake buying something that doesn't fit right.

If you get a model made for a longbed it won't have the "wrap"hanging off the  rear and it should fit normally. Seems like you're looking at one fit for a shortbed which leaves you with the gap.

Thanks guys, And yes the skirts are on the northstar (causing the overhang) I am looking at this camper because its a possible good deal. And have read the post you sent me which sounds as if there should not be a problem. I am probably pushing it a little on GVWR but think I am ok.

Northstar offers 2 short bed skirt options. There's the Permanent wrap-around and the Detachable wrap-around. If the unit has the detachable version, it's a non issue.

Thanks for your responses, Called Northstar they said it can be done, they could not tell if wrap around rear was detacthable without looking at it. I believe the wraparound is permanent as it was originaly made for a short bed. thanks, Lee
