Northstar 850SC on longbed Tundra

If I may ask a question? Why do you want to mount a TC that FAR exceeds what your 6 cylinder Tundra was meant to handle? All the suspension modifications, air bags, springs, etc, will not change the fact that your 6 cylinder truck is too small for your TC; or your TC is too heavy for your 6 cylinder Tundra.

hedge...the fact that you have a 6 cyl and manual tranny may work in your favor.
Post the axle ratings and actual weights of your truck, and weight of the camper, and we will help you figure it out.
My best GUESS is you may be no worse off than the rest of us!

Will the camper fit in the bed of your truck? Too wide?

I don't think putting a 1735 lb (dry) camper on a Tundra is a good idea. Waay over weight. They really can't carry 1/2 ton per a suspension shop I was at in Denver last year. While I was there, the owner told me they hafta fix broken springs on Tundras all the time.

I think when you step back from the lime light you will see that your going to be way over weight.
The good news is that Northstar does sell smaller units that will work with your Tundra. Vic

While the combo doesn't sound like a very good match it's hard to say without actual numbers. What does the TC supposedly weigh? What does your truck actually weigh? What are your axle and tire weight ratings?
Just about everyone carrying a TC is over the GVWR so this set up won't be any different. To me, it just makes more sense to put the money toward a higher rated truck instead of mods.
I'm already at a 3500 dually and still over the GVWR so my next truck hopefully will be a 4500 Dodge.

1735 dry...with water, propane, battery 2100. Add people and gear and you're around 2500. Will be waay over for any 1/2 ton.

And your at altitude....trust me, you will your hate your life while trying to pull 12,000' passes in Colorado with that set up. Both up and down.
