Northstar igloo furnace

Tried to start furnace on camper after a year of not using. Gas is on but wil not light. There is a diagnostic code which indicates air flow limit fault. My question is how to fix this problem so the furnace works. Thanks for any suggestions.
  • Hi, if you don't have a bug screen over the exhaust port it might have a wasp nest. A dirt dobber nest or some other in it. Also check the inside air outlet. Something might be blocking it. I had sort of the same last year in first start up. Also there is a air flow switch that might be stuck hope this helps.
  • Thanks for the suggestions driftwood. I will take a look at these potential problem areas. Hopefully the problem is minor.
  • Hope so too, I've already used the heat last weekend was in the upper 30's I also don't have a screen over the port but last summer I fired up the furnace just to make sure no bugs decided to settle in the heater. I know lame , but forgot to get a screen when I visited a RV supply business .good luck in your find. Jeff
  • Is the fan coming on when the thermostat closes ? When the fan comes on the sail switch should close and after a time delay the ignition operates and fires the gas...
  • Is it trying to light, but not? Or just not blowing/ trying to light at all
  • When I turn thermostat up, nothing happens. The fan makes no attempt to come on. Again, the only thing that happens is the "diagonistic" light flashes.
  • Check your 12 Volt power going to the furnace, is the fuse in the panel blown, is the circuit breaker in the furnace in the tripped position.

    Sounds like a power problem.
  • Thanks wood hog...going to check power tomorrow and will update.
  • Thanks for the help on furnace everyone. The problem ended up being a bad circuit board. Again, thanks for the help!
