Northwood Wolf Creek Bumper

Looking for advice on how to add a bumper or beef up the existing bumper to accommodate a bike rack on my 2013 Wolf Creek. The rack would not exceed 300 lb fully loaded. Using a hitch extension on the truck is not ideal since it would have to be 36".

If you want to use the bumper you are going to have to weld a hitch reciever. I have yet to see anyone do it and if you do please post pictures.

You can use a hitch extension with fast guns or some form of turnbuckle to eliminate the movement of the bike rack while driving.

even simpler is a woble stopper locking hitch pin. I've been using one for years
    Wobble stopper

  • I don't think The bumpers and supporting structure they bolt to on the camper are sufficient enough to support the weight and leverage of bikes hanging off the back.

Hitch style carrier, front or rear would be my preference.
  • We have a wolf creek 840 and i have the hitch extender for pulling our boat i have put the bikes back there but then they block the back door. We went with a front hitch on my 2012 Silverado 2500HD was really easy to install myself and only cost around $100
