I had the same oil spray from my 7.3 turns out it was the high pressure oil pump. One of the connectors let go and sprayed oil all under the truck and back of tc. Luckily we noticed the oil leak before the engine shut down. We had stopped to fuel up when I noticed the oil under the truck. I was told by the Ford dealer that there is a low oil shut down to prevent any further damage. The repair cost was 785.00 to repair. The dealer Gator Ford in Seffner Fl let us stay in the TC overnight in their parking area and at 7AM the following morning took it in for repairs and had the truck repaired by 2PM that afternoon. No appointment just put us at the front of the line. Great dealer and had never been their before but would not hesitate to deal with them again. Gerry
