Not happy with Jayco

Don't know if I'll buy another Jayco since it will not be a Jayco anymore, it'll be a thor and likely be clones of Dutchman/Coleman in a few years. Not impressed with them.

Seen this before from rich family and friends. Grandfathers start the company, Son takes over and runs it, then grandkids get it and then SELL IT!!! Not sure if that's what happened but sure seems like it.

I will definitely try to make the 26BH last as I've not been impressed with anything close to Jayco even at a much more expensive price.

The days of inexpensive quality and value have most likely ended in the RV industry.

A sad SAD day.

  • Haven't had one problem with my Flagstaff in 6 years and 22.000 miles. We leave Saturday on another 90 day 4000 mile trip.
  • You might check a few threads back. This has been discussed on at least 4 previous threads the last 2 days.

But curious. Is an Airstream no longer an Airstream since Thor owns them? Is a DRV Mobile Suites no longer a DRV Mobile Suites since they are also owned by Thor? Why do you think a Jayco will no longer be a Jayco?
  • Hmmmmm. Interesting. I bought a 2012 Jayco TT. Almost burned to the ground due to poor wiring. Bad water leaks. All refused to be covered under warranty. I dumped it in a trade. Good trade in because the name was still good. Finally caught up with them. Glad I got out with not too much expense. Sorry to see Jayco fail and be sold. Not surprised though. Their quality was going down hill fast.
