Not super impressed with Dometic fridge controls

Our last TT did not have a Dometic fridge but our current one does. I must say, I'm not that impressed with the controls. We're getting ready to leave on Friday for a 3000+ mile jaunt so I went out to...

I have the same fridge and I'm OK with the buttons. I leave it on "AUTO" all the time for a couple reasons - I know it's on when the light is on, and if it's not the "Check" light is on. What I wish were different is the thermostat - I wish it were adjustable from inside the fridge or at the very least on the outside of the fridge.
