All things engineered/designed/etc...are for the Mr Murphy moments...within the OEM’s specifications/ratings/limits/etc

Why think the P class tires (unless the OP changed up class) and the OEM too narrow rim width for ride quality went into am overpowered sidewall wallow...
Most “can tow it”, but that is on the good days...and guessing this OP looking in moving into a higher class TV
Engine wise, sure a higher torque engine would always tow better...except for MPG
Personal choice....I’m conservative in my advice. As the bottom line is that the OP owns the setup
Have towed a 14,000 utility trailer with the heavy half ton in my dig (now donated) and it towed GREAT...until one too many Mr Murphy encounters. The frame is still bent from being tossed around like rag doll coming down s very steep hill...and the Silverado was loaded up to over 7,000 lbs...
