On to your question. Why wait? You don’t have a problem spending money, get the 5ver TH and a diesel dually now and be done with it. Unless you enjoy a steady diet of car and RV dealerships.
Otherwise get a srw diesel to pull your soon to be traded in camper, because why would you buy a gas tow rig that only has marginally more hp than a modded turbo sxs?
