I've got the same setup in a CC with a 1770 payload. Our old truck had a GVWR of 6200 vs. our new 7700.
In two months, we're at 2000 miles. Average mpg's for the last 1,000 miles is 17.2 on 2 lane country roads. That's better than the first 1,000. I've also noted that on warmer days it goes up by 1-2 mpg.
I just went out and checked my spare and it is a matching P rated.
We're doing a shakedown trip tomorrow. A local one nighter, but I'll get the chance to two some 4 lane and some stiff grades. It was hard to wait, so I know how you feel.
