Hopefully your dealer will take care of the stems and other issues you are having. As for the brake controller, last year I had a draw tite controller and my breaks locked up easily all the time, I had to keep it set at 1.5 as any higher the brakes caught way before the truck brakes. This year I have the built in controller and test it all the way to 10 and nothing locked up the tires using the brakes but I quickly found that the manual use locked up the trailer brakes easy at 10. I now have it set at 7.5 and all seems good, just does not lock them up.
