The only temp inspection is the grace period for re-inspection when you fail, and the only temp registration is for dealer sales. Maybe it would be cheaper to store it at the CG? I know that trailers go on a calendar year basis, so if you register April 1 they prorate and you only pay 75% of the annual cost...unless that changed since we moved, that's about the only break you'll get.
