"Did you see the Q3 results from GM, Ford and FCA during October. It appears that GM is making money on sales regardless what Dodgeboy will say."
GM and Ford are making a lot of money and have a low long term debt % and also have a very bright future, unlike FCA - Ram Chrysler.
Remember who is desperately begging some other top 5 vehicle manufacturers to "merger" them into their operation ASAP? Hint: Sergio Marchionne who is only the CEO (Head) of FCA - Fiat and Chrysler Corps which is owned in, based, and controlled in Italy. "Merger" being the CODE word for purchase and take over ASAP before FCA's coming failure due to such high long term debt, documented extremely old antiquated manufacturing facilities and equiptment, massive volume of very high recall expenses ordered and active with huge fines also levied, less than a 5% yearly profit before taxes being experienced, NO money for further new vehicle design, development, or even tooling, Tanked European sales, etc. on and on! Read the WSJ and Forbes and Automotive News!
Absolutely no room for FCA discounting their vehicles to be competitive with GM and Ford as their profit margin is so putrid already and is unsustainable. To make it even worse, the new UAW contract is going wipeout the miserablly low 5% profit margin that manufacturer now has so they will have to raise their vehicle prices even more and make them even less competitive or operate in the red until the closure!
This thread was started for information purposes only for up to date truck sales numbers. Perhaps, someone would please inform Dodgeboy so he too can understand how business actually works! Profit and being competitive is a must or the doors will close!
Both Ford (F-series)and GM (Silverado/Sierra) each sell about 2 trucks for every 1 FCA sells and thay means it's the Big 2 and the taildragger like always! That doesn't even include the GM Colorado and Canyon which adds additional insult to injury!
