All I know is what I've experienced first-hand. I've been a full timer for 6 years until this summer. I've sold the molded-fb trailers and also the Aliner. I'm thinking about getting back into a TC (have had 3). All these rigs have their benefits and drawbacks.
But to say the Trillium is better in the outback than an Aliner shows a lack of experience with BOTH molded-fb and the Aliner. The Aliner is not a full-sized rig when popped down and can handle torque and twist much better, as well as bouncing. The Trillium might get you there, but for how long before you start seeing damage? I have hard-core friends who use Aliners and have never experienced anything negative from their shenanigans. I also know someone with a U-Haul who won't take it on a gravel road because she's afraid she'll ruin the axle, which is a bit extreme, IMO.
So to each their own. I loved my Burro and took it into some places I probably shouldn't have. But it was much more of a concern pulling than the Aliner was, I was always checking to make sure I wasn't abusing it too much or twisting it off the hitch. You can be a loyal molded-fb fan and still be objective. They have their limitations, and hard-core off-road is one. But maybe our definitions of hard-core off-road are where we're not seeing eye to eye.
