Well, it's semi official. I am REALLY GETTING THE AWNING AS ADVERTISED from My Deals Direct on Amazon. It ships either today or tomorrow from Arkansas. They do have a few left as far as I can see but are the silver fade color, 2.5m (8'5"), manual Carefree of Colorado Freedom case awning. Do not, repeat, do not believe the ads for RevPlanet and Synergy Offroad as they have refused to honor their stated prices and are still listed on Amazon on the list of offerings in that category. This is just an FYI for anyone looking to buy a very reasonably priced name brand truck camper compatible awning, while they last. Sure glad I'm on the back stretch on this deal. I have no financial interest in this, nothing to gain and have provided the previous posts and information from a first person, individual experience in the interest of saving anyone else the hassles I've had since last week.
