A reman is a thought. My sons have all the tools, hoist etc. One made a comment about a possible do it on a weekend. Altho we are doing a install of some outdoor seating for a bar in Seattle this weekend, ha ha, next weekend or two at most.......
I've seen prices from 1400-1900 or so, plus upwards of 400 for a core. Have not pulled mine apart to know how bad it is inside, or what broke.
I can get a LB GM for around 3000 iirc also.
Then again, a rig with 4wd, being as we have 12" on the ground, altho that is not common in greater Seattle puget sound region. A rwd with a locker vs this being open would be better! And double the mileage with some of the 1500 GM offerings, or heaven for bid a frod with the 2.7ecoboost would work too. The suspension on those versions are a bit on soft and lower weight rating.....
