I think one of the issues with OEM sheet vinyl is that they cover the deck as one of the first construction steps, then the flooring is anchored as the install of the cabinets over top of it, so it can't move when it needs to in extreme temps.
I'm thinking of just going over the existing floor rather than cutting it out first.
If you go with a floating floor, just cut it out around the cabinets and everything, that way it can expand/contract as needed with weather. The downside I see to this is I'm always suspect when I look at a used camper with a new floor in it. It always tells me that there's been some water damage at some time. This is also from experience! :(
I would avoid putting in the new floor unless it's really needed. It also adds weight to your trailer.
