That doesn't sound out of line and I don't think you have a problem at all. I have 2 GM vehicles and the oil life will still show 50% left even after 4 or 5,ooo miles. I think we've been "brainwashed" on the 3,000 miles rule for years and that's probably outdated thinking with modern vehicles and oil. I've moved from 3,000 miles to 5,000 or more and that may still be early to change. I guess "better safe than sorry" but a lot of oil and money is being wasted. I believe that what the computer measures is RPM and temperature history. Since old habits die hard I probably won't go 8,000 quite yet.
