Oil for duramax
With some oil not approved for ford what is approved for the duramax now that cj4 is next to impossible to find

- What does your dealer use? Ask them
- I would recommend staying away from a diesel oil that is dual rated for diesel (CK4) and gas (SN) since the gas API specs require lower ZDDP for preserving catalytic converters on gas vehicles. Rotella, Valvoline Premium Blue, Motorcraft oils are several good choices.
