Our family has been through some very bad times in recent years, and the trailer has been our salvation, our escape, our refuge. I have never been as emotionally attached to an object -- not even to my first car. When we sold our first TT, DW got all choked up.
When I walk past my trailer in the driveway, I sometimes pat it and promise to take it out soon, the way you would if it were a horse in the stable.
So yes, many of us who are active on rv.net are obsessed. And no, that does not make us shallow materialists. It does mean that we may be spending less on psychological help, pharmaceuticals, and recreational chemicals than we otherwise would.
