For those of you who love being at CGs because of all the RVs, are you typically open to people popping by to ask about your rig?
Our rig is so "generic" no one stops to ask about it, but they do stop and ask about the cat-porch attached to one window and our 4 cats.
My wife and I had just pulled back into our site in the Tetons last month when a couple that was walking started asking us some questions about our set up. I gladly engaged him (them) in conversation, and was glad they popped by. But I find myself second guessing myself when we're the ones walking as to whether I should strike up a conversation or not.
We just say "Hi" to those busy setting up, but will sometimes start a conversation with those sitting and relaxing outside their RVs. People, generally speaking, are nowhere near as friendly as they were back in the 50s, 60s and 70s. Maybe it's the age of the campers now. Maybe it's the more stressful life so many of us live now. Maybe campers just want peace and quiet more now.. I don't know. There was a thread on just this topic on one of the RV forums last year.
