When my son was a little younger I would even take him out to the camper to camp part of the weekend in the driveway. He enjoyed it very much and it was just plain "fun" even though we never left home. As I said earlier, if the RV helps you spend qaulity time with your family, then it was a wise choice. For me, my camper was purchased from my grandfather who was the original owner. It has sentimental value to me, beyond what it is worth. The fact that it still performs well after almost 45 years is just an added benefit.
Haha - we "camp" out in ours every Fri and Sat and if the grandkids are over, they sleep out in it with us. We're hooked up to power so we enjoy the TV, air if needed, and have even baked a pizza out there.
