Hi Mike. I bought an OBD2 scanner(link below) off amazon.com for $23.99. It is a bluetooth device that sends information from your vehicles on board computer (ECU) to your Android smart phone. You need the Pro version of the Torque app from the Play Store ($4.95. Link below) to be able to use the transmission temp gauge features. You have to go into settings to add the custom PIDs for GM before the transmission temperature feature becomes available.
All you have to do is plug the OBD2 scanner gadget into your cars OBD2 port and then pair it (bluetooth) with your phone. Then launch the Torque pro app, install the custom GM PIDs and add a transmision temp gauge to your screen and your ready to go.
