Back in the olden days, they used a caster type wheel at the tongue (maybe 8'12" dia?) which took weight off the ball of the car. I think some had a pair of wheels. I'm not sure what they called them but I saw a pic or two a few years ago. I have since tried to find a pic but can't. If anyone can find one or has a description, that'd be great. Towing technology and vehicles have changed a lot...
