Older Breckenridge Park Trailer

A friend of mine has a 1998 Breckenridge park trailer. it has 2 I believe they are slide outs, or are they tip outs?
My question is we are planning on moving this camper about 200 yards to a different site. Would it be OK to move this slowly with the slides out?

Thank you,

Kevin
  • Sure, I move with the slides out, slowly. If they slide out, they're slideouts. If they tip out, they're tipouts.
  • Is there a way to tell if the slide or tip by looking at them?
I didn't think it would be a problem moving it with them out.
  • Probably would be fine, but in the event something happens and the slides are damaged, frame bends, etc.; then what? Is the risk worth the savings? I would err on the side of safe rather than sorry.
  • The only problem is they are sealed up pretty good. plus not sure how they would go in. probably push in, but not sure. That's why I was thinking of leaving them out and drive very slow. it's just in a campground, so not going down the road at all.

    Thanks
  • I believe I’ve seen the rv dealers move campers around with the slides out before, but they are not 20 years old. I’ve never thought that was a great idea but slowly moving a few sites away should not hurt anything.
  • Just wanted to post an update.
We moved the trailer this past weekend with the slides out, and did not have any problems at all.
    Thanks for the advice
