When it was posted that the ford f150 used Aluminum, which also contained magnesium. I asked what percentage it would need be, for magnesium to cause flammability. I got a good answer from one poster....

I would imagine it would depend on how much magnesium is mixed with the aluminum in the frame, ie, what the composition is. My guess is Ford has done flammability tests on the frame and is not worried about it. Seems like a non-issue to me.
