When it was posted that the ford f150 used Aluminum, which also contained magnesium. I asked what percentage it would need be, for magnesium to cause flammability. I got a good answer from one poster....

Absolutely correct. I did a couple of the old VW bug and a Porsche 911 or two in my career. RJ is correct, enough water, no 'fog' application, a magnesium fire can be extinguished. Not the hazard airbags firing shrapnel at vehicle occupants can be............
