I appreciate the Harbor Freight suggestions but they are not in line with what I'm looking for. For starters, I want a system mounted to the truck so I don't have to haul around a compressor (and have to find space for it). It isn't that this is impossible to do but it is something I would just rather not have to hassle with.
Also, I could not find any duty cycles on the HF units (maybe I missed it). CFM is not the only factor when it comes to how quickly you can inflate 10 tires. Duty cycle is critical! If the compressor is rated for 25% duty cycle, that means for every 1 minute of run time, you have 3 minutes of waiting for it to cool down. This isn't a factor for just topping off the tires a few PSI or inflating one tire from 20 to 80 PSI but do this over 10 tires from 20 PSI to 80 PSI and if the compressor isn't designed for it, you can shorten it's life really quickly.
What I have discovered in my research is that MFGs will downgrade their CFM rating on the higher duty cycle compressors. That means slower fill times but no pausing for cool downs thus shortening the overall process.
The Extreme Outback Compressor looks more in line with what I am thinking and isn't something I had found in my research thus far.
