A new measure of cab to camper clearance. :EOn our last trip, a turkey vulture flew up out of the ditch and hit the top of the windshield with a loud BAM!. Then it lodged between the cab and the camper overshot. I pulled off on a side road and found a stick to pry the butt-ugly carcass out of there. Luckily nothing was broken (except the vulture).

You have to take advantage of natural events like this . If you would have spread its wings and bonded them to the cabover the air-foil would improve gas mileage and you have been listed on the 'projects page ' . :)

Did you put it in the freezer? Thanksgiving is coming. :B

Was it a male buzzard or a female? The clearances are difference for each. :)

I thought about that, but it was so ugly that I decided not to break the lens. Later I thought that I should have taken a few pictures. Hopefully, there won't be another opportunity, ever again.

I had a collision with a buzzard years ago in an early 50's pickup and it broke the windshield, disgorging everything inside it into the front seat. I had a hard time getting stopped before disgorging everything that was inside ME! I have been very leery of buzzards on the roadside ever since!
