One mechanics opinion about oil

I will trust the recommendations of the manufacturer, whose engineers test (i.e. abuse) multiple engines to failure, as to how best to prevent premature wear.

The truck in my sig, which I purchased new and maintain according to the owner's manual, has 97,000 miles on it and burns zero oil. Runs great too.
