One Piece Vinyl Rood

I am looking for information on Roof Maintenance and first thing that I need is Roof Type. So I started looking at My Trailers specs and what I find is that it is a One Piece Vinyl. Can someone verify what that means. I think I found it is a TPO? but I would really like some verification. Our dealer also sold us on a 5 year Interior/Exterior Environment Protection which I have to look in to the details on or call for what that protects on the roof.

  • Thanks for the information. I had a feeling that we were getting hosed on the protection but it was our first trailer and only 2 years old so we added it because we didnt know any better. I guess next time we know.
  • You got took on the protection package. 90% dealer profit.
As for roof maintenance? Wash often with spic n span, check all seams and reseal as necessary with Dicor Lap Seal. It will last longer than you have the trailer.
  • Question 1...

Question 2..."Our dealer also sold us on a 5 year Interior/Exterior Environment Protection which I have to look in to the details on or call for what that protects on the roof".

Be very careful and look into the fine print. Many of those type plans you can do yourself and do a better job.

Also good info about your roof...http://www.dicorproducts.com/resources/guide/RudysRoofbook_16.pdf
  • sounds like TPO to me. at a vent, remove the plastic molding and see what the edges of the material looks like. that was what was recommended by the caulk company.
